EENergy – EUR 10K Energy Savings Grants for SMEs

January 23, 2024, Tuesday News

EENergy is an EU-funded project that provides EUR 900 x 10,000 as a grant across Europe to SMEs that want to implement measures to reduce their energy consumption and therefore their carbon footprint. With a total budget of EUR 9 million, EENergy actively supports SMEs against the background of the effects of climate change, the energy crisis and the EU Green Deal.

The aim of the EENergy Grants is to improve the energy efficiency of SMEs. The funding can be used as advice/services and/or as an investment. These savings should be achieved in processes, with business models, through new procedures and investments in buildings and production lines.

Anyone who formulates an approach that can be proven to achieve (more than) 5% energy savings with the EENergy Grant is eligible for funding. All applicants from Germany must meet the EU definition for SMEs (mostly independent, profit-oriented, 250 FTE, <50 million EUR turnover, <43 million EUR balance sheet total). The prerequisite is that the companies were founded before January 1, 2023 and are already operational. Applications from SMEs in energy-intensive industries are particularly welcome. The grants are 100% funded and are non-repayable.

Are you a small or medium-sized company and would like to increase your energy efficiency?

If you would like to apply for an EENergy grant, first contact your local contact from the Enterprise Europe Network (ZENIT and NRW.BANK in NRW) and work out a concept with us, which you can then submit by April at the latest via the website.
